Ernest Hemmingway - "Hemmingway"

"My mama was a stray cat with a short tail. She brought us to visit these nice people who didn't know what to do with all of us, and one thing led to another and now we are in rescue! My mama had a short tail, but I don't have a tail at all.. just a cute little round booty. My foster mom says that is good for love pats. I'm one of the smallest of my siblings (weighing all of 1.5 lbs on 9/7/13) and I love to cuddle! When we first met our foster parents, we were all very shy and ran and hid from them. I was a little slow to come out of my shell around them, but I really like them now. My mom held me until I purred, and then I decided she was pretty O.K.

Now, I want to sit in her lap all the time. I love my place in her lap while the others play. She says that I'm a "people's cat," and that I'm a "cuddlebug." I don't know what that means, but I love to be held and give kisses with both paws on your face. I'm very gentle and I need someone to give me lots of good love. My foster mom says that I have a white heart on my back, and that it "suits me well." She says I'm special.

I like dogs, but I'm a little afraid at first because I'm so small. My foster sister was a doberman, and I thought she was pretty cool. I was not allowed to get too close to her, but I was very curious. My foster mom and dad kept us away from her, but I did play with another stray dog that showed up where I came from.

I can't wait to have a family of my own. I really like my foster mom and dad, but they tell me that someday soon someone will be looking for a kitty just like me, and that I will be their special little man. I promise I'll be a very good boy, and I'll love you forever."
