Toby, formerly known as Myster Toby, is very affectionate and loves attention from his owner, he likes to sit next to his human on the couch, he likes to be in the same room with someone, he loves his dental treats and dog bones, he likes to play tug of war or have you throw his toy to fetch and likes playing chase, he loves his soft dog bed and has two favorite plush toys (a duck and a giraffe) that he loves to cuddle and play with, he likes baths and will allow you to brush him, overall he just loves to be around someone that will pet him and give him attention.

Toby is house trained and will tap the door if he needs to go outside or is ready to come inside. He should never be crated or confined in a small space at all - ever. He is fine being left alone in the house. That said, he does like to crawl into dark crates and curl up for a nap, he just doesn’t ever need to be locked inside one.

Things to note: 

He is cautious with new people - barks, sniffs, shies away - but will then approach on his own. He really just wants to be loved and given positive attention (and a treat). He is friendly with both men and women, and is sweet with older kids that know how to be around dogs.

He is respectful of cats.

He will bark when there's a knock at the door (a water bottle or sound deterrent device helps curb the barking).

My only grievance is that he runs up to the cows and barks a lot – a huge no-no out here.

He is young, has lots of energy outside - loves to run - so a big fenced yard or weekly trips to the dog park would be ideal.  Toby communicates his needs really well. He has been a great companion - is so sweet and loving. I've loved having him as a foster!
