Mr. Wonderful is one of five all-black siblings born to a female manx (tailless) cat. Mr. Wonderful and his 4 siblings witnessed their poor mommy die when a neighbor intentionally killed her then went after the kittens. A few weeks later Mr. Wonderful cried at his rescuer’s front door when it was too cold outside to survive and he was scooped up into safety. He was rescued the first freezing night at the age of 3 months and has acclimated to indoor living in one day.  He loves humans and other cats equally and kisses both species as much as they kiss on him!  Mr. Wonderful is litter trained, kennel trained, knows his name and is very obedient.  He comes when called and rides in a car very well.  He also plays well with other cats.

Mr. Wonderful must be snuggled at the beginning of your day and will reward you by “making biscuits” on your neck.  He’s a nuzzler and will melt your heart the first time he purrs in your ear!  He plays hard but not mean.  He shares his toys and dinner plate with his feline roommates.

This little guy is very happy being an inside kitty.  He does like bird watching through the window but playing with his toy mice is his favorite pastime.

Mr. Wonderful got his name because we couldn’t really find anything bad about him, he just wanted out of the cold and into a nice, warm lap.  But, he does have a potential issue in the future, according to his vet.  The doctor explained that manx cats sometimes can have a prolapsed rectum which may cause constipation and/or diarrhea.  If this happens a prescribed medication will fix the situation.  The doctor also stressed this may never be an issue with Mr. Wonderful although he has been diagnosed with this prolapsed rectum.  He dines on dry cat food and sometimes canned cat food, with a kitty treat once in a while, and all his bathroom duties have been perfectly normal so far.
