Blue's family had fallen on hard financial times; lost their job and then their home. During this time, Blue got Heartworms which is very expensive to treat. The the family with no other options, tearfully surrendered him to the shelter to give them a shot at getting help. But after weeks at the shelter, the hope for help started waning until a Proverbs volunteer was called to come and to see if we could help.
