Yet another sad situation.. Meet Herbert....Herbert is a little border collie mix, who according to the vet, is "12 plus in age." He was picked up by animal control in deplorable condition. Missing lots of hair, eaten up with... fleas, suffering with abscessed teeth to the point of his face being swollen and his eyes running from the infection, Proverbs stepped up. He has now had all his medical needs met, including the extraction of several teeth, and tonight is in a foster home. If you would consider adopting this little guy, we will waive our adoption fee, but do understand we will be looking for a wonderful app.with great vet references. So heartbreaking to see any animal neglected(and yes, neglect is abuse),but seniors in this condition break my heart.
Update on Herbert, the 12 year old border collie mix we pulled from animal control. He obviously is enjoying being a house dog(what they all should be) and is recovering nicely from having his abscessed teeth extracted. Fosters change the world for animals.
