Jack Frost was originally rescued from a high kill shelter just before Christmas. He was adopted and is now back with us due to health problems in his family. Jack is a wonderful kitty and exhibits typical characteristics of the Siamese Breed. He is very intelligent and talkative. He loves other animals and loves to play and climb. He will even fetch! He will do some strange things like try to climb in the fridge when you open it, and sometimes he even likes to go in the shower right after you get out and play with the water. Jack Frost loves to cuddle with you and put his paw on your arm, but he won't be sitting on you all the time. He has too much to do for that! We request that he NOT be an only animal because he thrives on interacting with others. Jack Frost has been diagnosed with stomatitis. Stomatitis is an autoimmune condition in which the immune system reacts to plaque on the teeth. Stomatitis is managed by keeping Jack's teeth clean. His condition is not severe at this point, but cats with stomatitis often have to have teeth pulled later in life to prevent pain. Jack is currently eating a high-quality food and taking a Lysine supplement to boost his immune system. He also takes Plaque-off, a powder that is sprinkled over his food to keep his teeth clean.
