Meet Jake!!  We heard about this sweet boy from a kind person who found out that he was going to be shot.  Proverbs stepped in and he will be safe and warm in a foster home until we found him a loving home of his own. 

*** Update from foster - Jake continues to blossom! His skin is beginning to heal, his fur is thickening up some, and we are seeing fewer ribs each day. For a fella who has likely had very little positive human contact, he is very trusting and extremely loving. He is crate and house trained, rides magnificently in the car, and loves baths. He gets along with our other dogs and cat, and is learning that playtime is fun! He does not tug when walking on a leash, and asks gently when he wants to cuddle (this is his favorite activity!). He is still easily overwhelmed with a lot of stimulation, but he is slowly learning how to be confident. We are excited to see what his future holds, once he's ready for adoption!
