Our Woody was a last call dog at a High Kill shelter in Middle Tennessee. He was within ten minutes of being PTS. When the Proverbs' volunteer walked in and asked to take, he came around the corner scared, slumped, and timid. The Volunteer leaned over and took his face in her hand and said Woody you are coming with me. When he heard that, this huge smile came across his face and it still hasn't left. You could tell a sense of relief came over this sweet baby...We put him in the front seat of the car and he road staring out the front windshield with that huge smile on his face.
We took him straight to an amazing Proverbs' foster who says this about our boy: Woody is an amazing dog. His tail is always wagging in excitement. He has the softest fur coat I have ever seen. He's a leaner! He comes up next to you and leans on you to give you loving. He is eager to please!
He is estimated at 3 years old and around 40 lbs...so the perfect age for a family of any size. He likes to run and play, so a family with a fenced in backyard or a running partner would be ideal for him. His foster family has 4 young kids and he does just great with them. He is house trained, does great in the kennel when we eat meals or when we leave the house. He sleeps perfectly on a dog bed on the floor of our bedroom at night. He gets along great with our dogs big and small. He really will make an amazing companion. Come meet him and I know you will fall in love." How something this special could be left behind we don't know, but A very lucky someone is going to find this buddy and live happily ever after. Are you that lucky person?
