Meet Charlie! This sweet pup is not quite a year old and is hoping for a forever home to celebrate this big birthday! Charlie is a VERY sweet and loving dog, he thrives off touch and praise. While he would do well in a home by himself, Charlie would love to have some companion dogs to play with. He has tons of energy! Charlie also gets along great with cats, is very respectful of any boundary they set. He has foster brothers who are a dog and a cat and they all get along great! Speaking of foster brothers, Charlie also has two human foster brothers who are 1 and 3. He is wonderful with the children! He plays with them outside and watches over them. The baby is his favorite, he is always quick to alert his foster mom when the baby is crying or awake in the middle of the night. He is beyond tolerant when the children poke him, pull his ears, take his food, etc. Charlie is working on his social manners, and has come a long way in a very short time thanks to the leadership of his big foster brother. Charlie walks wonderfully on a gentle leader and is making great progress working on the leave it command. He plays fetch in the yard and is doing well with bringing his toy back and is working on the stay command particularly at dinner time when he is asked to stay out of the kitchen. Charlie will also stay in a crate while his humans are out although he really dislikes the crate. Charlie is going to make a wonderful dog for any family! Needs: -fenced yard with tall fence. He is a jumper and the heights he can reach are impressive -an active person or family. -someone who is familiar and patient with bringing up a puppy although he has come a LONG way in just a few weeks!
