Look at these precious faces...it's hard to believe that these two babies were dumped on a highway on a busy country road and left to die. They spent weeks dodging cars and hiding under the guard rails searching for food. Our Proverbs volunteer rushed to the rescue to get both of these sweet ones. Covered with ticks and critically malnourished, we started the process of getting them back to health. Today they are exceptional!! Toby and Joy are brother and sister pointer mixes. Currently weighing 35 pounds each but am sure with paws this big they will be larger soon. Although starved at one point, today the run to their bowls and then sit to patiently wait to eat!! They are crate trained, fully vetted and are currently working on sit, stay, heel and come and to walk on a leash. But they stay right at your side whether they are on the leash or not. Training comes easy with these two. They are still shy around strangers but once they warm up to you then all they want is love!! Our dream is for these two siblings to be able to stay together. We are looking for an active family who wants a sibling team to bless their home!!
