Casper is around 5 years old and was found curled up on a towel in the middle of a commercial driveway. He seemed frightened and confused, and it took around 30 minutes for him to finally relax around me. But then, as soon as he saw the leash in my hand, he started coming towards me, wagging tail and all, like he knew we were going for a walk. We aren't sure of Casper's past, or how he ended up on the street, but we do know he'd been on his own for a couple weeks because the condition he was in. After many attempts to find his home, no information on a previous owner was found.
Casper is a really great, sweet, and gentle dog. He is believed to be full bred and is used to being spoiled. He is house trained, absolutely loves to go for walks, and enjoys being around people he can trust and feel comfortable with. He loves to be pet, brushed, and pampered. Casper loves other dogs, especially big dogs, and was curious of my cat at first, but now he doesn't mind her at all.
I believe Casper's ideal family would be someone who has older children that can respect his boundaries (he is a pekingnese), loves to go for walks, and just generally enjoys his company. He was found with a skin irritation due to a flea allergy and also some ear mites. His skin irritation has healed greatly (thanks to the cone of shame), and the next step will be to treat the ear mites. Really, these are very small and easily treatable problems after being on the streets for a few weeks. We are thankful he is safe now, and can spend the rest of his days in a loving home because he has have a lot of love to give.
