Meet Sandy! We believe at one point he was someone's pampered pet. He knows to go outside and how to use puppy pads, although he doesn't always like going outside especially when it's wet.
He enjoys being brushed even when I hit a tangle. He has a personality with a capital P. He's getting along well with everyone so far, but seems to prefer Murphy (my large puppy) and my cat neo. He did NOT care for Murphy in the beginning, but I think that was mostly the size difference and Murphy's inability to understand personal space. Now they play pretty regularly although he is very protective over toys. They are his and he does not want to share or play that silly tug of war game. He also asserts himself more with Murphy than anyone else in the house. I think that's because Murphy is only 6 months old and lets him get away with it. So he may try to push his boundaries with any future siblings.
I still think he would do best in a fairly calm house, and probably not with small children. Even though he feels comfortable here, he's still very nervous when new people come over or when he's somewhere new. I think it would be hard for him to settle in a really active home. He loves to snuggle and be held.
