This sweet boy was adopted as a pup and returned when the owner didn't have time for him. This is what his previous adopter said about him:

"He walks on a leash but pulls a bit.   He is VERY happy to see people that he knows although not really sure about  men that he does not know - acts a bit  frightened. He is very smart though.  He is timid and jumpy at times and scares easily.  He is still puppy nipping  - loves to play with kids  but can play too  rough.  I would say a house with older children would be nice.   He seems to play well with other dogs and is kind to my rabbit."

** So it sounds like this pup has had zero training and has been allowed to continue with his puppy behavior, which at this point is not acceptable. SO Jefferson's next FOREVER home will have older children, a fenced in yard and maybe a fur-sibling to play with. A dog savvy owner that has the time to train him would be best. SOCIALIZING him is a must. His fear comes from insecurity. Had he been taken places as a pup he would probably properly socialized.
