Starving, scared and alone he roamed the streets. Matted hair blinding him. An angel found him and he became a Proverbs dog. He was heart worm positive, and h
e just had his first heart worm treatment, so two more to go before he can be adopted.
He loves to snuggle, crate trained for night time and when I leave house. His playful personality started coming out last week to ten days. Easy to walk on leash. House broken for the most part (I think the marking he tries to do is because I have other dogs). Has to be watched in the house to stay on top of him but he is doing great compared to how he was when he got here.
He will jump four feet in the air when you are getting a treat for him. Especially if he has not had one for a while that day. He loves to be rubbed and petted and just chills on my chair with me. He is sweet and happy to see kids or visitors but also watchful at first. He gets a little jealous when we pet other dogs or the cats and comes up to make sure he gets his loving.
I think he will end up being a great loving dog for someone who wants to give him time to trust them and smooth out his edges. Still a work in progress for sure, but he is still young, and we see a great little boy in there.
