Saturday 4/24/10, Proverbs 12:10 took in the sweet baby who was found by a deputy sheriff. Local animal control wanted it shot. The kind hearted deputy called us saying the poor dog was wagging its tail inspite of all it was enduring and was in hopes we could help. There was NO WAY I would have turned him down. My daughter went to meet the deputy and took the poor soul to Cornerstone Vet Clinic. The vet believes he has endured this for two weeks and is amazed he has survived.That kind of spirit deserves to live and see some kindness. I can''t imagine what pain he has tolerated in addition to hunger and fear. Please consider contributing to his medical bill by calling the vet directly. No amount is too small. This will be a sizable bill since an amputation is needed. He is very comfortable due to pain meds and is on high powered antibiotics in preparation for Monday's amputation. Am thankful we got him and he wasn't out in today's storms or "shot" as was suggested.Cornerstone's number is 615-446-9071.
