Charli is quiet and kind. She will just look up and you and wag her tail to let you know she appreciates your help. She can also smile. She warms up to new dogs after a slow introduction. Charli has not been around cats, so we do not know how she would do. She is excellent on leash with a collar and/or harness. She doesn’t pull and usually stays by your side. Charli has a low energy level, but we suspect it has more to do with decompressing and symptoms of heartworms. She has spurts of energy and playfulness and is excited to go on walks. But is mostly resting.

         Thus far we have not encountered too many things that scare her or make her    uneasy. She was leery of the garage door, but just viewed it with caution. So far she has taken everything in stride. 

She is doing excellently with potty training. She goes when we take her out, takes advantage of walks, and has had no accidents in her crate. The past few nights she has slept in the foster’s in-home office, out of the crate, and she has done great! We haven’t given her the chance to really ask to go out, because we take her out every 2-3 hours. But I think she’s smart and would figure it out quickly.

Charli would do wonderfully in a quiet home with older kids that can give her the attention she deserves. We think she would be best as an only dog, but can get along with others as she shows no interest in playing with the foster’s dog but vies for attention. She really loves people.
